Stop fighting your mind at bedtime and let sleep come
Lying awake again? Watching the clock, going over tomorrow, getting more wound up the harder you try. Find out what is keeping you awake, see if hypnosis could help in a 4 minute test, and play a free sleep session in bed tonight.
What is keeping you awake?
Poor sleep is more than feeling tired. It is the dread as the light goes off, the maths on how many hours you have left, and dragging yourself through the next day. The longer it goes on, the more your bed becomes the place you worry, and that keeps the cycle going. You should not have to dread your own bed. Pick the one that sounds most like you.
What a better night can feel like
Getting into bed relaxed instead of braced for another long night. Listening to a calm voice instead of your own thoughts. Drifting off part way through and never hearing the end. Waking up and realising, with some surprise, that you slept.
That is what sleep hypnosis is designed to help with. You listen in bed with your eyes closed and follow a guided recording that helps your body relax and your mind settle, so sleep can come more easily. It is completely fine to fall asleep before it ends. Hypnosis is not mind control. You stay aware and in charge the whole time, and many people find it easier to let go of the day when they have something calm to follow.

You are not doing it wrong
If you have tried the apps, the herbal tea and the no-screens rule and still lie there wide awake, that is not a lack of willpower. Trying hard to sleep is often the very thing that keeps people awake. What usually helps is a way to stop trying.

How it fits with good sleep habits
For long-term insomnia, the NHS and NICE recommend cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, known as CBT-I, as the main treatment. It works on the habits and thoughts that keep poor sleep going. Hypnosis sits well alongside that approach: it gives you a way to relax deeply at night while you build steadier habits in the day.
If your sleep has been poor for 3 months or more, or something feels physically wrong, please see your GP first. Some sleep problems, such as sleep apnoea, need medical care.

Want help with it one-to-one?
If recordings are not enough on their own, we can work on what is keeping you awake together. Start with a £49 consultation call over Zoom. We talk through your nights and whether hypnotherapy is right for you, and the fee comes off your first session. If poor sleep has lasted 3 months or more, please see your GP too.
